4D3N LIJIANG ANCIENT TOWN-JADE DRAGON SNOW
MOUNTAIN-TIGER LEAPING GORGE-SHANGRILA TOUR
DAY 1
Pick
up from train station, bus station or airport in Lijiang.
Transfer
to a hotel in Lijiang
and check in hotel.
Explore
Lijiang
Ancient Town and Black
Dragon Pool (Jade Spring Park).
Transfer
back to hotel and rest.
DAY 2
Wake
up and have breakfast.
Transfer
to Jade
Dragon Snow Mountain Base Complex. Then take sightseeing
bus to Cable Car Station. At the Cable Car Tower, take cable car up
to Glasier
Park. Explore and hike along the wooden platforms to the top for
the best
Glazier View Point at 4680m at Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. After
exploration, return to Cable Car Tower and take cable car
down. Then proceed to take sightseeing bus to the following places to explore:
(i) Blue Moon Valley;
(ii) Bai Shui Terrace
(White Water Terrace); &
(iii) Ganhaizi
Grassland.
After
exploration, take sightseeing bus back to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Base
Complex. Transfer back to hotel and rest.
DAY 3
Wake
up and have breakfast. Check out hotel.
Transfer
to Qiaotou
for trekking Tiger Leaping Gorge.
Start
trekking from Upper
Tiger Leaping Gorge, near the ticket office passing by
Jane’s Guesthouse
(you can store your heavy luggage in this guesthouse (optional). (Note: Only bring trekking bags with some
clothes & basic necessities with you).
You
will pass by a Chinese
School and then to Sunrise Guesthouse.
While trekking,
enjoy beautiful mountain view of Jade Dragon Snow
Mountain in front of you. From Sunrise Guesthouse,
the gorge trail proper starts and serious climbing begins to Nuoyu Village
(2 hours). After Nuoyu
Village, continue to trek the agonizing 28 bends
that lead to the highest point of the gorge to reach Yacha Village (3
hours). From
there it will be a straight forward walk to Bendiwan Village
(2 hours).
Check in a hotel at Bendiwan Village and
rest.
DAY 4
Wake
up and have breakfast. Check out hotel at 7:00AM.
Start
trekking from Bendiwan
Village downwards to Tina’s Guesthouse
(2 hours).
Store
trekking bags at Tina’s
Guesthouse and trek down to Middle Tiger Leaping Gorge
to explore the Tiger
Leaping Stone. After exploring, trek back up using Tianti ladder. Proceed
to Tina’s Guesthouse for lunch around 2:00PM. After lunch around 3:00PM,
transfer to Shangrila
by private car. On the way, the private car will make a
stop at Jane’s Guesthouse for you to retrieve your luggage. You
will reach Shangrila
around 6:00PM. End
of tour.
